Linda Pardun, 79, of Jamaica, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorials will be given to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
Linda Ann Pardun was born on December 30, 1943, in Berwyn, IL to Frank and Lydian (Tesar) Ross. She graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL. Linda was united in marriage to Gary Lee Pardun at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brookfield, IL on January 18, 1964. She worked in downtown Chicago, before moving to Bouton IA and helped on the family farm. Then they moved to Jamaica, IA and worked at the Perry Lutheran Home as a dietary manager.
She was a member of the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, and bird watching. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In death she rejoins her husband Gary Pardun, and parents, Frank and Lydian Ross.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her sons, Mike (Nancy) Pardun, Denison, IA, David (Tonja) Pardun, Polk City, IA and Jeff (Angie) Pardun, Ankeny, IA, grandchildren, Nate (Haley), Ben, Scott, Sydney, Gavin, Conner, Logan and Harper Pardun, siblings, Terry (Sharon) Ross, Washington, IL, Richard (Teena) Ross, Ellington, FL, and Gail (David) Metta, Homer Glen, IL, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Naeve, Woodward, IA and Dorothy Griffin, Valdosta, GA, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
